Inspired by the Brookings Institution, The Dynamo was founded in Fall 2009 by University of Florida Honors students, led by Lance Legel. We are a UF chapter of the Roosevelt Institute, and student affiliate organization partnered with the Bob Graham Center for Public Service. The Dynamo's 25 existing policy reviews on world conflicts have received over 5,000 views. One article was awarded 1st place in the documented research category of the 2010 Florida Collegiate Honors Council (FCHC) writing contest. Our first, second, and following public forums have been strong successes in engaging community experts to educate and inspire public action.
